Article Overview
This section covers headset charging, battery life, and controller battery management for the Quest 3S during Osso VR Nurse Training sessions.
Charge Speed and Duration
The Quest 3S offers about 2.5 hours of use per charge and requires approximately 2.5 hours to recharge from 0%-100%. To minimize downtime, the headset should remain connected to power when possible.
Note: If the device includes an external battery, consult a hardware or IT manager for additional guidance.
How to Charge the Headset
- Connect the included USB-C cable to the charging port on the left side of the headset.
- Plug the other end into the provided power adapter or any compatible USB-C power source.
- Confirm charging status using the LED indicator. A solid orange LED indicates the headset is charging, and a solid green LED means it's fully charged.
Headset Storage
If a headset will not remain connected to power, it should be fully powered off before storage or any extended period of non-use.
Controller Batteries
- The Meta Touch Controllers run on AA batteries. To access the battery compartment, press the triangular release button on the side opposite the corresponding grip button and remove the side cover.
- Maintaining a supply of spare AA batteries is recommended.
- Because batteries may lose charge even when the controllers are not in use, they should be removed if the controllers will be stored for an extended period. When controller battery levels fall below 30 percent, prepare to replace the batteries.
